My name is Gareth, and originally I'm from Pembrokeshire (Sir Benfro, yng Ngorllewin Cymru, and yes, I know I don't sound Welsh) - o Aberdaugleddau to be exact. I'm over 40 (but under Dead) and I have three amazing boys of varying ages, temperaments and interests and who keep me pretty chuffing busy. They don't feature in these pages as they should have their own say in how the internet age records their existence, but they inspire me daily and I wanted to acknowledge how much they mean to me.

Looking stressed

At some point soon, I hope to have the headspace to complete a proper introduction, to talk about myself in positive terms and to let you know who I am and why it might matter, but these are things with which I struggle. These were all taken at a writing retreat organised and lead by one of Bristol's loveliest people, Holly Rigby, where I met some of the other loveliest people from Bristol and beyond, and where I felt more accepted and at home than I have in over 30 years. And I'm sorry for never doing the exercises, watching football, not going swimming, and tempting a nonagenarian with offers of squiring her around North Pembs for fags and booze.
